Airport Construction Begins, Traffic Advisory Issued for Mansfield
MANSFIELD — A major construction project at Mansfield Municipal Airport got underway this week, prompting a town traffic advisory, while the Town Manager separately announced a new push to gather resident feedback on the town's budget.

The Mansfield Municipal Airport, at 265 Fruit Street, began a major site improvement project on Monday, July 13, involving renovations and upgrades to the airport's runway and taxiway areas, according to a Town Hall traffic advisory. The town did not specify a completion date or detour routes in the advisory.
Separately, the Department of Public Works' Highway Division has several road construction projects scheduled for the summer, the town said in a News & Announcements post, without detailing specific streets or timelines.
The Town Manager announced a new series of community focus groups to gather resident "ideas, feedback, and perspectives" on topics affecting the community, including the town's budget plan, according to a Town Hall notice. No dates for the sessions were listed. The town's Information Technologies office also issued its regular weekly cybersecurity communication, this edition walking through a cyber-scam scenario and how to resolve it, and released its July town newsletter covering department, board and committee updates.
