Fall River Library Opens Summer Hours, Adds Two Museum Passes

The Fall River Public Library is now operating on its summer schedule, trimming Friday closings and shutting Saturdays through Labor Day, while also rolling out two new museum pass options for cardholders.

Starting mid-June, the Fall River Public Library moved to its summer hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The building will be closed Saturdays until Labor Day. Residents who rely on Saturday visits should plan accordingly and can confirm hours at fallriverlibrary.org or by calling 508-324-2700.

On the collection side, the library has added two new venues to its free and reduced-rate museum pass program: the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, Rhode Island, and the House of the Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts. Both are available to book online through the library's Museum Passes page. The additions join an existing roster that includes aquariums, historic sites, zoos, and parks — all accessible to cardholders at no or reduced cost.

The library also continues to offer its "Library of Things," which lets patrons borrow Wi-Fi hotspots, Nintendo Switch Lites, bicycles (in season), and ukuleles alongside standard book and media checkouts.
