Fall River Public Library Switches to Summer Hours Through Labor Day
A slow Friday cycle finds no breaking announcements from City Hall or the school district, but residents heading to the Main Street library this weekend should note that summer hours are now in effect through Labor Day.

The Fall River Public Library has shifted to its summer schedule, running Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The library is closed Saturdays for the duration of the summer season, which runs from mid-June through Labor Day.
The library has also recently expanded its museum-pass program with two new venues: the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, R.I., and the House of the Seven Gables in Salem. Passes can be reserved online through the library's Museum Passes page. The library's "library of things" collection continues to offer wifi hotspots, Nintendo Switch Lites, bicycles, and ukuleles for checkout alongside its digital resources, which now include online access to the Fall River Herald News archives from 1926 to 1979.
