Library Cancels Gravestone Girls Program
SWANSEA — The most notable local update today comes from the Swansea Free Public Library, which canceled a planned historical program while continuing its summer reading push and previewing upcoming children's and community events.

The Swansea Free Public Library announced that its "Welcome to the Graveyard" program featuring the Gravestone Girls, originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, has been cancelled. The library did not provide a rescheduled date.
The library's Summer Reading Program, which began Monday, July 6, remains underway for patrons of all ages. The library is also promoting two upcoming events: "Brawny Bones & Mighty Muscles" on Friday, August 7, at 11 a.m., and "The Gospel According to Hobby Lobby" on Wednesday, September 16, at 6:30 p.m. The library continues to offer its usual slate of digital resources, including Libby, Hoopla, Comics Plus, and Digital Commonwealth, along with museum passes and homebound delivery services for residents unable to visit in person.
