Mansfield Phase III Water Restrictions Hold as Summer Heat Continues

A slow midsummer Monday finds Mansfield without major municipal announcements, though the town's ongoing Phase III outdoor water restrictions remain in effect and the 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee convenes tomorrow to continue planning the town's milestone commemoration.

Phase III mandatory outdoor water restrictions, which took effect June 10, remain in force across Mansfield. Residents are reminded to water only on designated days and during designated times as the town works to protect its water supply through the summer season. The Industrial Development Commission's Downtown Sign & Facade Improvement Program, announced in coordination with the Select Board and the state legislative delegation, continues to accept interest from downtown business corridor property owners looking to improve storefronts.

The Mansfield Public Library has two newer programs worth noting for residents who may have missed the announcements. The library recently introduced a collection of memory kits — themed bags filled with activities designed to spark conversation between individuals living with memory challenges and their caregivers. Separately, the library has launched a delivery service for homebound patrons, bringing library resources directly to residents who cannot make it to the building in person.
