North Attleborough Implements Stage 2 Outdoor Water Restrictions

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — The town has escalated to Stage 2 outdoor water restrictions, its most consequential move of the day, as officials continue the 250th anniversary summer concert series and the Fire Department marks a round of promotions and new hires.

TOWN HALL The Town of North Attleborough announced it has implemented Stage 2 outdoor water restrictions, tightening limits on lawn watering and other outdoor water use as the summer heat continues to strain the water supply. The town's announcement did not specify an end date for the restriction.

Fire Chief Christopher Coleman announced that the North Attleborough Fire Department has recognized a round of promotions, new hires and service milestones within the department, part of the town's ongoing effort to publicly acknowledge its public-safety staff.

Separately, the town is now accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2027 Means-Tested Senior Property Tax Exemption, giving eligible senior homeowners a window to apply for the tax relief program.

COMMUNITY & ARTS As part of North Attleborough's 250th anniversary celebration, the town held free NACC summer concerts on July 8, July 9 and July 11 at the Town Hall Gazebo, continuing a season of music programming tied to the town's semiquincentennial.

COMING UP The North Attleboro Firefighters Kids Day Association's Kids Day Weekend runs Thursday, July 16 through Sunday, July 19. The centerpiece Kids Day Fire Trucks & Walking Parade steps off Saturday, July 18 at 11 a.m. through downtown.

Next week brings a cluster of public meetings: the Board of Assessors and the Board of Library Trustees both meet Monday, July 20, along with the Cultural Council. The Council on Aging meets Tuesday, July 21.
