TOWN HALL
North Attleborough has released the official calendar for its "Celebrating Liberty's Legacy: 250 Years of Independence" commemoration, giving residents a roadmap of patriotic programming stretching through July. The slate connects local landmarks and historical societies to the national 250th anniversary of American independence.
Two events headline the early summer schedule. On Sunday, July 5, the North Attleborough Historical Society will host "Voices of the Past" at the historic Woodcock Garrison House from noon to 3 p.m., offering an afternoon that ties local history to the founding of the nation. A week later, on July 12 at 2 p.m., the Attleboro and North Attleborough Historical Societies will co-host a tour of the Old Towne Church and Powder House featuring G. A. "Paolo" Di Gregorio, known as the Artifactual Scholar.
Registration is also open for the "Twice is Nice" 2.5- and 5-mile road race on July 12, another piece of the 250th celebration welcoming community members of all fitness levels.
Separately, Emergency Management Director Christopher Coleman and town officials have issued hurricane preparedness guidance ahead of the Atlantic hurricane season, urging residents to review their emergency plans and supplies now.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The North Attleborough Cultural Council has announced the lineup for its 2026 Summer Concert Series, though specific performer dates were not detailed in materials released through Thursday. Residents can watch the town's News Flash page for the full schedule as it becomes available.
