SEEKONK — Quad Board debated a $1.75 million Hurley Middle School study. Superintendent Rebecca Kidwell told the Select Board and School Committee the feasibility and design study could draw just over 50 percent state reimbursement, citing Swansea's $2 million and Dighton's $1.2 million studies. One member called the figure "ridiculous" and said they would support it only as a debt exclusion.
Town Administrator Kadeem reported stabilization at $7.9 million, 214 percent of its policy minimum. The boards approved a warrant article on school bus stop-arm cameras 4-0 with one abstention and set Oct. 21 for the next Quad Board meeting. The Hurley article's borrowing language was still unsettled.
