Swansea Library Books Author Manchester as Town Hall Stays Quiet Monday

SWANSEA — A slow Monday leaves the Swansea Free Public Library as the day's primary source of community activity, with weekly outdoor story time returning tomorrow and an author evening booked for later this month.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The library's Outdoor Story Time series continues every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Swansea Dam, weather permitting — putting the next session on Tuesday, June 16. The free drop-in program is geared toward young readers and their families and runs through the summer.

Farther out on the library calendar, author Steven Manchester is scheduled for a public evening program on Thursday, June 25, at 6 p.m. at the library, 69 Main Street. The event is open to the community.

The library is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents can reach the library at (508) 674-9609.
