Swansea Library Opens Doors Sunday for SwanCon Community Day

DATELINE — SWANSEA The Swansea Free Public Library will open on a day it's normally closed to host SwanCon, a free community event running from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 23, at its Main Street building.

COMMUNITY & ARTS SwanCon marks a special Sunday opening for the library, which is normally shut that day of the week under its regular schedule of Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Library officials have listed the four-hour gathering among the site's featured upcoming events at 69 Main Street.

The community day comes as the library continues its run of public programming, including a Summer Reading Program that began in July and remains underway heading into the fall event season.
