Dartmouth Conservation Commission Approves Wetlands Permits for Two Properties, Continues Three Hearings

DARTMOUTH — March 24, 2026 — Dartmouth Conservation Commission approved wetlands permits for two properties and continued three others at its March 24 meeting. The board voted 5-0 to issue a standard order of conditions for a proposed 15-unit, age-restricted residential development at 813 State Road, which would replace an existing car dealership, approving the project under the town's local bylaw with a modified stormwater condition requiring DPW Engineering Division sign-off. The commission also voted 4-0 — with Chair Michael Kehoe recused — to approve a long-pending screen porch and buried propane tank project at 254-E Potomska Road after Natural Heritage issued a "no take" determination, and voted 5-0 to issue an amended order of conditions for a phragmites removal project at 0 Beach Lane. Three other hearings, including a proposed residential pier at 600 Potomska Road, were continued to April 14. Under discussion items, Fortes reported a revised plan for 38 Lakeside Avenue was received on time but that the required sign-off from the city of Fall River has not yet been received; Kehoe directed staff to remind the applicant in writing that the approval is still needed.
