Mansfield Cybersecurity Bulletin Warns Residents About Scam Tactics

MANSFIELD — Mansfield's Information Technology Department issued a new cybersecurity bulletin this week, walking residents through a real-world scam scenario and how to resolve it, as Town Hall also released its July newsletter and lined up a run of five board and committee meetings over the next week, led by Wednesday's 250th Celebration Committee session.

The town's Information Technology Department circulated its latest cybersecurity communication, describing a specific scam scenario and steps residents can take to resolve it. The letter is part of an ongoing series of security bulletins the department has posted to the town's Information Technologies webpage, where past editions are archived for residents who want to review them.

Town Hall also published its July 2026 newsletter, featuring articles and updates from town departments, boards, and committees, according to the town's website.

COMING UP

Mansfield's 250th Celebration Committee and the Planning Board (amended agenda) both meet Wednesday, July 22. The Conservation Commission (amended agenda) meets Monday, July 27, followed by the Parks & Recreation Commission on Tuesday, July 28. The School Committee's School Needs Assessment Subcommittee meets Wednesday, July 29.
