Mansfield Launches Downtown Facade Program as Phase III Water Rules Hold

With the Fourth of July holiday approaching, Mansfield heads into the long weekend under mandatory Phase III outdoor water restrictions and a handful of active municipal programs residents should have on their radar.

Phase III water restrictions remain in effect across Mansfield, having been imposed June 10. The mandatory outdoor watering rules limit when and how often residents may irrigate, and town officials are urging everyone to protect what they describe as precious water resources. The Board of Registrars has distributed a required mailing to Mansfield households. The town flagged the mailing as important but did not detail its contents in the public announcement; residents who receive it should review it carefully and contact Town Hall at 508-261-7466 with questions.

The Industrial Development Commission, in partnership with the Select Board and the state House delegation, has launched the Downtown Sign and Facade Improvement Program. The initiative aims to upgrade the visual environment of Mansfield's downtown business corridor and is open to eligible downtown property and business owners. Looking ahead on the municipal calendar: the Non-Profit Gift Fund Committee meets Wednesday, July 1; the Planning Board convenes Wednesday, July 8; and the Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21.
