North Attleborough Launches 250th Celebration Events, Issues Hurricane and Recall Warnings
The town heads into the July 4th stretch with a full slate of 250th-anniversary events on the horizon, hurricane preparedness guidance from emergency management, and several active consumer recall alerts affecting local families.

Emergency Management Director Christopher Coleman and town officials are urging residents to prepare now for the Atlantic hurricane season. The guidance covers household readiness steps ahead of what forecasters expect to be an active season — a timely reminder as summer weather patterns intensify.
Two consumer-safety alerts are also in circulation from the town. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has issued a public health advisory about a nationwide recall of all lots of Nara Organics powdered infant formula; parents, caregivers, and retailers are asked to stop using or selling the affected product immediately. Separately, Target's Up & Up Fragrance Free and Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes have been recalled over potential microbial contamination — consumers should check their supplies and follow return or disposal instructions.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has opened Business Recovery Centers across Southeastern Massachusetts to help businesses and private nonprofits affected by the February blizzard. Centers have been operating since June 18; affected organizations are encouraged to connect with SBA representatives as soon as possible.
The Board of Assessors holds a public meeting Monday, June 29.

North Attleborough is building toward a busy summer of 250th-anniversary programming. The North Attleborough Cultural Council has announced its 2026 Summer Concert Series lineup, with performances tied to the town's "Celebrating Liberty's Legacy: 250 Years of Independence" commemoration — full dates and artist details are posted on the town homepage.
Two historical events anchor the coming week. The North Attleborough Historical Society invites residents to "Voices of the Past at the Woodcock Cemetery," a program at the historic Woodcock Garrison House on Sunday, July 5, from noon to 3 p.m., connecting local history to the birth of the nation. Then on Sunday, July 12, at 2 p.m., the Attleborough and North Attleborough Historical Societies co-host a tour of the Old Towne Church and Powder House featuring G. A. "Paolo" Di Gregorio, the Artifactual Scholar.
Registration is also open for the "Twice is Nice" 2.5- and 5-mile road race on July 12, part of the broader 250th celebration. Community members of all pace levels are welcome to sign up through the town website.
