Town Moves to Stage 2 Water Restrictions Amid Summer Heat
The Town of North Attleborough has implemented Stage 2 Outdoor Water Restrictions, a mandatory tightening of water use rules announced this week as the town's 250th Anniversary summer season continues with free concerts and the return of the Kids Day Parade.

The town announced it has moved to Stage 2 Water Restrictions, a step up in mandatory outdoor water-use limits, according to a News Flash posting on the town website. Residents can find full details of the restriction on the town's website; the announcement did not specify an end date.
Separately, the town is now accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2027 Means-Tested Senior Property Tax Exemption program, which offers property tax relief to qualifying senior residents. Applications are available through the Assessors' office.
The North Attleborough Fire Department also announced a round of promotions, new hires and service-milestone recognitions this week. Fire Chief Christopher Coleman announced the recognitions, which mark career advancements and new personnel joining the department, though specific names were not detailed in the release.

The North Attleborough Cultural Council is hosting three free nights of live music at the Town Hall Gazebo as part of the town's 250th Anniversary celebration, with concerts scheduled for July 8, July 9, and July 11, offering performances for all ages. The series continues a summer tradition after an earlier Community Band concert on July 2 was postponed due to extreme heat.
Downtown will also see the return of the Kids Day Parade on Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m., one of the town's longtime summer traditions, featuring a walking celebration through the downtown area.
At the library and around town, upcoming historical programming tied to the anniversary includes a Sons of the American Revolution pop-up exhibit and a talk on the lead-up to the Revolutionary War, both detailed below under Coming Up.
