SEEKONK — The Zoning Board of Appeals continued the Heritage Seekonk 40B hearing to Dec. 7. The proposal calls for 36 units in 18 buildings, 10 of them affordable. Paul Bannon of Crossman Engineering presented the applicant's traffic study, reporting about 3,200 vehicles a day on Miller Street and 18 crashes over five years.
Bannon said the project would add 17 trips in the morning peak and 18 in the evening peak. Attorney Eric Branski said the secondary Miller Street entrance, which the Planning Board asked to close, could be removed, a change the board's peer reviewers said would require an updated traffic study. Residents questioned the four-day traffic count and raised concerns about Fieldwood Avenue speeds.
The board also agreed its consultants may request more traffic information without a board vote.
