Board of Health · Meeting of October 21, 2026

DIGHTON — The Board of Health approved an updated fee schedule and a Cedar Street drainage variance. Chair Tammy Mello and Clerk Vincent Hebert voted on a schedule that excludes a Title V inspector fee, after Health Agent Elizabeth Moreira's comparison supported $25 increases. A town official said a 20-cent large and 10-cent small trash bag increase would put packs of 10 at $30 and $15 and still leave a $39,000 deficit on roughly $422,000 in disposal costs.

The board also took up the Elm Street Stormwater Committee order and a resident's request to secure 2641 Pleasant Street, promising follow-up. Attorney Michael O'Shaughnessy called the order "backwards" in his client's case.
