Dartmouth Planning Board approves Eversource tree work and releases $781,000 in subdivision surety. The board voted 4-0 at its February 9 virtual meeting to allow Eversource Energy to prune and selectively remove trees along eight scenic roadways — Allen's Neck Road, Barney's Joy Road, Gaffney Road, Horseneck Road, Jordan Road, Patomska Road, Rocca Dundee Road, and Slades Corner Road — conditioned on continued coordination with Tree Warden Timothy Barber. In a separate 3-0 vote, with Vice Chair Lorri-Ann Miller recused as an abutter, the board released $781,168.19 from a letter of credit for the Bakerville Vineyards subdivision, leaving $523,917.93 in place.

The board also spent more than an hour reviewing a final draft Housing Production Plan from SRPEDD, with Chair Nicholas Psichopaidas warning that the town's 7.81 percent subsidized housing inventory may never reach the state's 10 percent threshold without eventually embracing higher-density development: "We are chasing our tail," he said, and pledged to bring a more detailed analysis to a future meeting.
