DIGHTON — April 16, 2026 — Dighton Conservation Commission approves four-bay garage, hires low-bid consultant for two wetland delineations. At its April 16 regular meeting, the commission voted unanimously to approve a Notice of Intent for a four-bay contractor-condominium at 553 Center Street filed by Tyla Gooch, with conditions including native-tree planting and addition of local buffer-zone lines to the plans; engineer Evan Watson of W Engineering confirmed no automotive repair would occur on site. The board also hired Nover Environmental Consulting for peer-review delineation work on two adjacent Courtland Road properties, accepting Nover's bids of $2,650 and $1,950 against Weston and Sampson's competing quotes of $6,740 each, with both amounts to be held in 53G escrow accounts. A request for a partial certificate of compliance at 418 Hart Street stalled after the commission determined that owner Junior DeLima had not delivered an approved mitigation plan, a contractor commitment, or escrowed funds — required before the commission can sign off on a pending property sale — prompting Chairman Jim Digits to warn that the vegetative-restoration growing season closes around June 15.
