Easton Conservation Commission continues 313 Turnpike Street commercial project as peer review and stormwater plan remain unresolved. The four-member commission, chaired by Ben Vecchio, voted unanimously at its July 20 remote meeting to continue the proposed 12,000-square-foot contractor bay building at 313 Turnpike Street to August 10 after a peer-review report from Strongpoint Engineering arrived the afternoon of the hearing and a revised stormwater pollution prevention plan had not been delivered to town staff. Consultant Courtney Beckwith of PMP Consulting, representing applicant Property in Construction, said she "was really hoping we'd be able to wrap it up tonight" but agreed a continuance was cleaner than a conditional email vote.

After adjournment, an abutter identified as Ted raised drainage concerns, saying the site — surrounded by wetlands on three sides — "is just going to make it worse." The commission also unanimously re-elected Vecchio as chair and Mike Spady as vice chair, approved certificates of compliance for lots at 22 Douglas Drive and the Golden Oak subdivision, and issued a negative determination allowing a sewer connection at 59 South Street.
