Acushnet Conservation OKs Allison Drive Septic Plan
Conservation · Meeting of September 30, 2026
Acushnet conservation board approves Allison Drive septic plan, presses for turtle buffer. The Acushnet Conservation Commission voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a notice of intent for Dan Moniz's DPM Development Corp. to build a single-family home at 3 Allison Drive, after engineer Chris Vandenberg of SiteTech Engineering and Environmental Consultants described boulders spaced eight feet apart along a 25-foot wetland buffer. Members pressed Vandenberg to restore silt fencing near a neighboring parcel with documented turtle habitat, with one calling the ask reasonable "for that small parcel." The board separately continued a related Hathaway Road hearing to October 14, heard that survey work at 16 Hunter Street remains stalled by rain, and discussed a recurring flooding complaint near the 211 Middle Road solar array, weighing Chapter 44, Section 53G funds to hire a peer reviewer.
Any permit requires a certificate of compliance within 18 months of occupancy, with a $250 fine for noncompliance.
