North Attleborough School Committee Unanimously Extends Superintendent Antonucci's Contract to 2030

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — June 23, 2026 — North Attleborough School Committee extends Superintendent Antonucci's contract through 2030 but again delays a required school-police agreement. The committee voted 6-0 at its June 23 meeting to keep Superintendent John Antonucci under contract through June 30, 2030, following a closed executive session. The vote was the only formal action of the night. A memorandum of understanding governing the district's two school resource officers — required by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and overdue for roughly two years — was not voted on after member Lindsay Ben-Harris raised a series of proposed amendments covering student interview protocols, IEP data-sharing protections, SRO performance review records, and ambiguity in what triggers SRO involvement versus routine school discipline. "Right now, we're missing everything because we have ambiguity," Ben-Harris said. The committee agreed that Ben-Harris would redraft the document in Word with her proposed edits incorporated before the committee takes another vote, while DESE's window for public comment on a revised state model MOU closes July 31, 2026.
