Rehoboth Conservation Commission Continues Two Home Applications, Issues Two Compliance Certificates

REHOBOTH — April 14, 2026 — Rehoboth Conservation Commission continued two farm-property home applications and cleared two other sites at its April 14 meeting. The commission voted unanimously to continue a notice of intent for a single-family home at 85 Mason Street, filed on behalf of Todd Karras by Mariano of Oak Hill Engineering, to April 28 after the property was found to lack a street number; members also agreed to require 3-by-3-foot boulders spaced roughly 50 feet apart as a permanent limit-of-work marker in place of standard conservation signs on the active hayfield. A second notice of intent at 205 Providence Street, part of the Haas Farm property, was continued on the same grounds. The commission declined to exercise its right of first refusal on a 6.6-acre Chapter 61A parcel at Providence Street and issued certificates of compliance for 11 Buckland Drive and 7 Sienna Road. A proposed agritourism project at Greer Farm was tabled after a commission member identified conflicts with the property's existing Wildlands Trust conservation restriction, including plans for a permanent skating rink that the restriction requires to be removable.
