Rehoboth Select Board bans resident from Health and Human Services building

REHOBOTH — July 13, 2026 — Rehoboth Select Board votes unanimously to ban a resident from the town's Health and Human Services building after a public health nurse reported feeling threatened. The board issued a notice of no trespass under MGL Chapter 266, Section 120, barring Glenn Lamar from 27 Francis Farm Road following a June 8 incident in which Town Counsel Kate Federoff said Lamar refused to stop recording inside the nurse's HIPAA-protected office, raised his voice, and leaned over her desk until she reached for a panic alarm. Lamar disputed the account at a public hearing, telling the board "I never raised my voice to her" and citing an audio recording he said would prove it, and asked for a 10-day delay; the board declined and voted five-to-zero to close the hearing and issue the order. The board also unanimously appointed Thomas Kachiri as town health agent at $69,000 annually and approved the hire of Jessica Landers as administrative assessor at $28.96 per hour, both through June 30, 2027.
