Planning Board · Meeting of October 7, 2026
Rehoboth Planning Board voted 5-0 to open and close a hearing doubling the town's required fire suppression tank size from 10,000 to 20,000 gallons. The amendment to Chapter 350 of the subdivision rules also requires the board to seek the fire chief's recommendation before granting any cash-waiver in lieu of a tank. Members Jozy, Mills, Donovan, Pereira and Landry voted aye on both roll calls; a member identified as Daniel was absent.
The board separately endorsed a Form A retreat lot at 0 Pine Street represented by Rachel Smith of Oak Hill Engineering, approved a two-lot subdivision at 120 New Street, and voted unanimously to sign a letter backing the town's Open Space and Recreation Plan, which an Open Space Committee member said has been in the works "for about four months or so, five months." Select Board member Solis previewed an October 28 hearing on a proposed data center zoning bylaw.
