Dighton Select Board Approves Election Warrant, Backs $750,000 Main Street Bid

DIGHTON — March 11, 2026 — Dighton Select Board approves April election warrant and backs $750,000 federal funding bid for Main Street. The two-member board — Nicole Mello and Mark Pacheco — unanimously approved the annual town election warrant at its March 11 meeting, setting a vote for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Dighton Elementary School gymnasium for nine elected positions including Selectman, Assessor, and Planning Board seats. Town Clerk Sharon Costa, whose presentation noted town counsel had reviewed the ballot questions, also secured board approval for two police detail officers to staff the election. The board separately approved a letter of support for a $750,000 congressional community project funding application submitted March 1 to advance a second phase of the Main Street reconstruction and sidewalk project, with backing letters also in hand from state Senator Duna and Representative Thurber.
