Planning Board Releases $671,300 in Bonds
Planning Board · Meeting of September 3, 2026
North Attleborough Planning Board clears $671,300 in bonds, hears early Toll Brothers pitch. The board voted 3-0 to release $210,300 to John Walsh of Westwood Estates for Ronald C. Meyer Drive and Houde Street, and 5-0 to release $461,000 to Ankur Patel for a Home2 Suites hotel at 777 South Washington Street.
Toll Brothers representatives Jeff Heidelberg and engineer Steve Cabral previewed a 24-unit, 55-plus expansion of the company's 384-unit Heather Hill project across the Plainville line, but hit a snag: the North Attleborough parcel has only about 58 feet of road frontage against a 90-foot requirement. Member Greg Walsh told the developers, "If you have the ability to build the cul-de-sac... just build the cul-de-sac." The board also continued hearings on the Hillside Estates subdivision to October 1 and a Plain Street industrial special permit to September 17, and got a compliance update on the Gregory Manor subdivision, where developer Darius Gregory said of a pool built outside his lot line, "I don't install pools. I hired a competent professional to do so."
