North Attleborough Conservation Commission Continues Gas Station Wetlands Case to June 16

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — June 2, 2026 — North Attleborough Conservation Commission approves three routine wetlands filings and continues a contested gas station redevelopment case. The commission voted unanimously to issue negative determinations of applicability for a DPW pump station upgrade at Oak Knoll, a deck replacement at 191 Bungay Road, and a backyard shed at 132 Old Post Road, while continuing the notice of intent for 563 South Washington Street — a Route 85 Realty Corporation gas station redevelopment involving new underground fuel storage tanks and a retaining wall adjacent to wetlands — to June 16. Peer reviewer Lauren Gluck of Power Corporation said the most recent plans adequately showed one-to-one replication of roughly 595 square feet of permanently altered bordering vegetative wetland, but told the board, "I would really really really like to see a stamped engineered plan of the wetland replication area." Commission Chair Kimberly Cheriminkley flagged unresolved concerns about groundwater discharge during underground storage tank installation, and the board directed applicant representative Scott Cotter of Goddard Consulting to submit a construction sequencing plan, dewatering plan, Phase 2 environmental report, and stamped replication plan by June 11.
