Plainville Conservation Commission closes Regency of Heather Hill hearing, issues conditions

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — May 26, 2026 — Plainville Conservation Commission closes two hearings and continues three others to June 11. The commission voted to close the public hearing and issue a draft order of conditions for the Regency of Heather Hill project at 149 West Bacon Street and for the Metacomic Greenway trail segment from Fuller Street to West Bacon Street, with one member abstaining on the Greenway vote. Three other hearings — a 32,000-square-foot equestrian facility at 1 Tisbert Way proposed by FNS Ventures LLC, a drainage and subdivision project at 54 Barrie Street filed by applicant Jim Gosheon, and a hotel and material processing complex at 128 Washington Street proposed by 128 Washington Street Holdings LLC — were continued to a rescheduled June 11 session pending peer review. Metacomic Greenway at-large board member James Campbell told the commission that a neighboring regional planning district holds roughly $4 million in construction funding for trail segments through Walpole, Norfolk, and Wrentham, but said the railroad right-of-way through North Attleborough having been sold to a private party remains "the biggest hurdle" to completing the trail's connection to the Blackstone River Bikeway.
