North Attleborough Opens Hearing on Nessfab Plant
Planning Board · Meeting of September 17, 2026
North Attleborough Planning Board opens hearing on lakeside factory, continues case to October 1. Chairman Jason Gittle apologized for agenda confusion and told a packed room the board has drafted 27 questions for applicant Nessfab Inc.'s proposed 20,000-square-foot plant at 405 Plain Street, covering hazardous materials, stormwater, traffic and noise. Bungay Lake Associates secretary Jonathan Brito said the group has spent over $100,000 protecting the lake, which he said serves roughly 200 families.
No vote was taken on the permit itself. Separately, the board voted 5-0 to ask the zoning enforcement agent to investigate special permit 2102 for Gregory Manor after finding a basketball court, propane tanks and a boulder wall encroaching on deed-restricted open space, and it unanimously recommended two technical amendments to the town's floodplain bylaw, Chapter 290, Section 290-6, adding "neighboring states" to watercourse-alteration notification requirements.
