Westport Housing Authority Adopts Late Annual Plan
Other Committee · Meeting of August 26, 2026
Westport Housing Authority adopts a month-late annual plan and reports a stronger reserve. Executive Director Paul told the board the plan was delayed past EOHLC's July 31 deadline after the board lacked a quorum, but the state accepted the explanation. The authority's operating reserve grew from $85,382 to $125,765 over the fiscal year on a roughly $40,000 surplus, with reserves at "73 percent, very, very strong," Paul said.
The authority charged $303,540 in rent and left $10,461 uncollected. Paul also welcomed new part-time administrative assistant Roxanne Gunter, restoring the housing office to a four-day schedule, and said residents will receive an independently mailed, anonymous 25-question satisfaction survey after many said they never received the state's periodic version. The board voted unanimously to adopt the plan and set its next meeting for September 16.
