Select Board Approves Shaw's Overhaul, OKs Wingstop

Select Board · Meeting of September 28, 2026

Dartmouth Select Board clears Shaw's renovation, welcomes Wingstop and doubles the police detail fee. The board unanimously approved an alteration-of-premises permit for Shaw's Supermarkets' liquor license at 15 State Road and a common victualler license for a new Wingstop at 341 State Road. Members introduced incoming Assistant Town Administrator Maeghan McKee, who previously oversaw roughly $70 million in annual budgets for Brockton's Department of Public Works, and raised the hourly police cruiser detail fee from $10 to $20, tying it to the federal FEMA reimbursement rate going forward.

The board also ratified a three-year United Steelworkers contract through June 30, 2029, made five committee appointments, and approved the October Town Meeting warrant. Town Administrator Cody Haddad flagged new weight restrictions on the Pasquamancet Bridge on Russells Mills Road effective October 1.
